JP Medicals Recruitment is currently recruiting a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) for a flexible locum position in Manchester
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Helping patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
Assisting with mobility and repositioning to prevent bedsores.
Supporting feeding and hydration needs, including special dietary requirements.
Taking and recording vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration).
Observing patients’ condition, mood, and behaviour and reporting changes.
Assisting in infection control and hygiene protocols.
Preparing medical equipment and assisting with simple procedures.
Restocking medical supplies and ensuring cleanliness in patient areas.
Escorting patients to appointments, tests, and therapy sessions.
Offering companionship and reassurance to patients.
Supporting patients with mental health conditions or dementia.
Assisting families by explaining basic care routines.
Encouraging patients with mobility assistance.
Engaging patients in social and recreational activities.
Requirements
NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care
Minimum 6 six months of NHS or private hospital experience
Full UK driving Licence is essential
Valid Visa to work in the UK
